Metros lose Brenes, Ziadie in expansion draft
November 19, 2004

The expansion draft has come and gone, and Jonny Walker and Sergio Galvan Rey are both still Metros. Two are not: Pablo Brenes and Craig Ziadie. Brenes was the fourth player taken by Salt Lake City; the Metros pulled back Zack Wells. Ziadie was Chivas' seventh selection, with the Metros pulling back Walker.

In an amazing coincidence, seven of the draft's first ten selections were current or ex-Metros: Andy Williams, Orlando Perez, D.J. Countess, Ezra Hendrickson, Brenes, Brian Kamler, and Nelson Akwari.
